June 2017

On the flip side of getting my creative mind turned back on and some traction happening in the business (I.e me being very busy in the right areas) I wasn't able to manage the expectations of everyone around me and I pissed off a lot of people at work. This was not intentional of course but it's me being busy, racing 10miles an hour and not slowing down to think about things and following process. Some would say I was becoming a prick. Because I just had so much on my mind and my to do list just kept growing and growing I just didn't notice who I was becoming. I'm glad I have very honest people around me to bring me back into line!

It's been 1 month since I started The 4-hour body new eating lifestyle! I keep saying "new eating lifestyle" as I don't want to call it a diet. Diets come and go. This is to stay for a very long time!

Starting Weight: 83kgs

30 Day weigh in: 77.7kgs

Little to no exercise completed throughout the month, not that I didn't want to but from being sick and then being really dizzy I just couldn't.

Goal: With any of the below foods that were a part of my eating plan, the goal is to eat as much as you can! This is so you don't snack! At all! Also, the plan was to drink 2L of water a day (this was very tough to do).

Breakfast:

Eggs: 2x - Scrambled, Curried or Poached; Avocado: Half; Tomatoes: 4x cherry; Mushrooms: 2x; Bacon: 2 x rashes or Salmon: 50g

Lunch:

Mexican Burrito Bowl: Beef, Black Beans, Tomato, Onion, Guacamole, Cheese

Dinner:

Kaleslaw Salad: Cucumber, Pickles, Fennel,  Tomato, Onion, Goats Feta Cheese, Cashew Nuts

So far I am loving it! I thought it would be really hard but it's actually not!

While you're reading this you're probably wondering why am I writing about my eating habits and exercise. Fuelling your body and exercise has a huge effect on how you will perform day to day and if you're not healthy, your mind won't be and therefore your business won't be either. It's all under one roof. Treat your body and mind right, business will fall into place!

And that's exactly what is happening right now. Clarity has set it and business is flowing in. The right decisions are being made and things are moving in the right direction.

4 months of hard work/pain in the beginning of the year seems to now be worth it. The trick is to not let that happen again.

We have officially taken on 4 more Unlimited IT Support clients this month (50+ users) and rolling out more projects for existing clients so it's fair to say things are moving in the right direction.

We have had a fair amount of bickering in our Innovation Consulting team this month which I want to stop asap so I officially announced that if we don't start working together as a team and support each other then I'll pull the plug on the department altogether. They all agreed! Since then it's been a lot better and things are starting to fall into place. Why!? My focus is on growing the business and I want to be completely out of operations but I know it will never work unless everyone is supportive of each other!

I was able to have a few days off the hustle and bustle by doing a road trip with my best mate Howie, down to Sydney for his birthday. We booked an ice hockey match and thought why not make it a boys catch-up weekend and as we got chatting we realised that even if we were in Sydney earlier (flying down) all we would be doing is sitting around drinking and chatting so we thought hey why don't we just drive. 1. It saved money 2. Less drinking and healthier 3. We get to chat for 8 hours straight! Perfect! It was an awesome trip, yes it's a super long drive to complete in only a few days so not sure we will do it again anytime soon, we got to catch-up heaps, experience Sydney and as we were staying with Howie's cousin we got to do fair few pub crawls and have some good times out.

My niece has jet setted off to Europe, Croatia for 5 weeks with her grandparents, super excited for her. For an 11-year-old It's an amazing opportunity she has been given and no doubt she will come back a lot wiser. Travelling just forces you to grow up. You're in completely different surroundings, outside your comfort zone and you just have to adapt to different situations. I set her up a blog so she could document as she went but she got so busy every day she had no time so she said she will do this when she gets home.

We also officially re-joined The Entourage, 5 years on, with my first trip down to Sydney for a 3-day conference. It was so good to be back in this community. Learning, networking, drinking, networking, and learning. Sooo good! I was able to take soooo much information away with me and implement into the business straight away.

The leads are really starting to build now and I know if I don't work on a good solid process they will just slip through.

All in all, it was a good solid month and looking forward to the new financial year.
